Wigglyhouse

Designed by ifdesign

ifdesign have created Wigglyhouse, a minimalist designed home located in Como, Italy. Built around and within multi-storey buildings, this single-family residential building is located just 50km from Milan, Italy.

Built using Canadian grey granite that covers the external skin of the building which, to some extent, symbolises protection opposed to the walls and the grey-plaster made patios. The idea around minimal external entrances/exits support this philosophy. This is an obvious factor that has been harnessed through the exposed internal shapes by the big and small patios and the open roof portions that allow the building to be opened upwards.

The name comes from the variant shapes that the roof offers. I really like the way the internal shapes, from the walls to the ceilings, utilise and play with the light.
