Designed by Snøhetta
Snøhetta has created the Treehotel 7th Room, a minimal cabin located in Harads, near the Lule river, about 100 kilometre from Luleå airport, Sweden. Walking towards the 7th treeroom is an experience in itself, with the underside of this spectacular building reflecting the life and romance of the surrounding treetops. This life size image creates a nostalgic vista that could only have been viewed prior the buildings existence.
Located 10 meters up from the ground you can't help but feel at one with the natural surrounding pine treetops that welcome you as inviting neighbours. Facing north, the large panoramic windows and the skylights allow light to wash across the bedroom's interior. Designed as a traditional Nordic cabin, the exterior facade is clad with burnt pine to merge within the surrounding environment and become one within the pine forest.
The Treehotel is a unique hotel experience with seven contemporary designed rooms spread out within the pine forests of Harads.
