Designed by Alberto Campo Baeza
Located in Madrid, Spain, Raumplan House has been designed by Alberto Campo Baeza. This minimalist house is located on the side of a sloping plot with a spectacular view of Madrid's western mountain range. From the ground the views are not that impressive but as you proceed further up to the higher levels the panoramic views of the urban landscape become an experience in themselves.
The home has been designed using the regulated 12 meters by 12 meters square ground plan which has been divided into four six-meters squares. With the view being more prominent from the higher levels the architects have kept the more public parts of the house within the upper levels. The home raises from the ground square by square with a simple helicoidal movement. I personally love the crispness of the white walls and the simple lines that create a clean, minimal flow throughout the residence.
