Designed by Leonard Kadid
Based in Paris, France, Leonard Kadid is a french architect and designer who has recently designed the minimal Piraeus Chair. You can see the slight injection of his architectural experience within this chair through the boat like structure. Like the hull of a boat, the sides of the chair are slightly angled with the weight distributed along the centre of the 'keel' where the legs profile out supporting the weight of the chair and the user. The body of the chair is made from solid oak with the legs comprising of bent steel that connect to the main body through two slots. This chair, along with the design aesthetics and creative direction, is unique in many ways but successfully integrates in a way that provides a solid piece of design that would compliment many minimal spaces.
