Elise Rijnberg has designed a lovely set of minimalist silverware called Piattona. What was once a prototype, the Piattona pieces offer the user the ability to rethink their natural expectations and thought around something so engrained. Created as a response to the hurried thoughtless consumption of our frazzled times and seeks to get people to relax and take time to enjoy their food.
The name Piattona comes from Pellegrino and refers to the cutting of food without haste and chewing slowly. Rijnberg is a freelance photographer, design and food stylist and is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
