Designed by Studio David Thulstrup
Designed by Studio David Thulstrup, Peter’s House is a minimalist home in Copenhagen, Denmark. The home is owned by the renowned photographer, Peter Krasilnikoff, who commissioned Studio David Thulstrup to designed his own residence in Copenhagen. The bases of the design was inspired by the worn-out warehouses and factories with their blackened steel and old bricks. This was pulled together to work alongside the three raw-brick walls of the old garage which stood on site. The inspiration that the designers found from urban rooftop gardens and innovative green zones of busy cosmopolitan cities are clear within the home. This was a request from the client to build in an integrated green space. The design was centred around a central mirror-clad atrium that allows the space to be flooded by natural light across all three floors of the residence. Lush with specially selected grasses, plants and a feature tree, the atrium allows for viewing within all three floors and creates a central oasis for everyone to experience.
