Designed by Grzywinski+Pons
Grzywinski+Pons has designed this minimal hotel Leman Locke London located in London, England. Economy of space and function was their focus with an intent to create a unique aesthetic. They managed to control this by creating nearly all the furniture within the rooms from the chairs, sofas and beds all the way to the tables and light fixtures.
Grzywinski+Pons didn't want to recreate the traditional "transformer" feel which you seem to be getting quite a bit lately with retractable desks, flip up tables and murphy beds. Obviously, a lot of architects find this challenging and create the inevitable "inventor" side that tickles their creative tendencies. However, Grzywinksi+Pons wanted to spare the guests from this by designing a minimalist feel removing the chore of manipulating the furniture around them before they settle at the end of the day.
