Designed by Tom Chung
Based in Toronto, Tom Chung, an industrial designer, has designed the Fromme Chair. This minimal chair has been designed to the principals of the early 90's mountain biking, off-road vehicles and ultralight campaign gear. This unique inspiration has resulted in the choice of lightweight aluminium and a responsive tilt seat built within a completely rigid frame. The seat has been fastened to the frame using high load polymer compression springs connected with a ball joint connector. Instead of working against the user the chair has been designed to accommodate the users change in weight distribution through the 4 points of even compression allowing for a gentle tilt back and forth. The chair is easy to clean thanks to the anodised finish.
